2020 Fall Hair Trends for Women
I have to admit, fall is my favorite time of year! And for good reason! I love the cooler weather, changing of the leaves and most importantly, wearing my hair down! (You can keep the pumpkin spice lattes! LOL) I have long, thick hair so hot days in the summer are not conducive to staying cool and having my hair down. It is in a pony tail, a lot! So my excitement that it is fall cannot be contained! But lets talk about the 2020 Fall Hair Trends for Women!!
80’s Flashback?
The 80’s had fabulous music but terrible hair and fashion trends. As a girl that grew up in the 80’s and had to live through the horrid hair and fashion of that decade, there isn’t much I would bring back. However, BANANA CLIPS are literally my favorite thing in the whole wide world and they are making a come back! I am soooo excited! In fact, I did a Facebook post about how I bought a banana clip and loved it. Then a friend tagged me on an article from Southern Living on how they are making a come back! Seriously, if you don’t know what one is and have medium to long hair, you have to find out!
I hope this is a trend for all and not just the ladies in the south!
Embellished Headbands, Barrettes and Organza Scrunchies, “oh my!”
YES! They are all amazing and they are all trending this fall. Anything embellished is even better! Scarves are also another trending item for hair! So wrap your pony in a soft flowy scarf or wrap it around your head for some extra color!
And who knew organza scrunchies were a thing. According to Hair.com the soft feel and flow of the organza scrunchies make for a delicate accent. And I would certainly agree!
Vibrant Colors and Soft Honey Blondes
Vibrant pinks, yellows and blues! Whether as just an accent or all over coloring, vibrant and bright colors are trending! And if you aren’t the type to have crazy bright colors in your hair, then maybe honey or golden blonde is more your style. And as always, dark tones are always a great trend every fall!
Mini Braids
All braids can be considered timeless, however, mini or accent braids are trending for the fall. Something so small can make a huge impact. And to make an even bigger impact, weave a soft ribbon or tinsel through it for the holidays! There is so much you can do with this the options and variety are endless!
Haircuts for the Fall
As far as I can tell, pretty much anything goes for fall. Long hair is in, but so are pixie cuts! Shag bobs and parting your hair down the middle is trending too! So pick your favorite style and wear it with confidence! Coincidentally, 2020 Fall Hair Trends for Women, anything goes!
Conclusion
I hope you loved this post as much as I loved writing it! At 52 years of age I love how my hair looks and I love wearing it long. I dread the day I might actually be too old to wear it as long as I do! But definitely have fun and experiment with colors and accessories this season. We may not have this opportunity again next season! Checkout last years hair trends!

I’m from Australia, so we’ve just gone into Spring over here, but I’ve noticed that scrunchies are EVERYWHERE here too! Whilst everyone is DIY-ing fun, patterned masks, they’re also making their own scrunchies too! I still don’t get how trends become a thing, but clearly scrunchies really are taking the world by storm, so I’m going to need to get my hands on a few if I don’t want to fall behind 😂

I’m loving all the different hairstyles I’m seeing lately on Instagram! I wish I would try more hairstyles, but I almost always just leave it down or throw it into a ponytail – nothing fancy, ha. I love Kristen Bell’s hair – gorgeous!
Emily Fata
I love the little bun with the cream coloured bow! I totally am going to do something like that with my own hair.

I pretty much never do anything crazy with my hair cut or color, but it’s so fun to see the accessories that are in style right now are up my alley for sure! I love the organza scrunchies, so cute!
Kelly
I don’t do crazy either! But I love seeing other people rock it with confidence!

Great post and fantastic photos. Being a guy, I’m completely in the dark as to which hair accessories are trending. But my teenage daughter would love this!
