7 Things to Promote Hair Growth
7 Things to Promote Hair Growth

I am thrilled to be able to share this amazing information with you!  Having hypothyroidism, I used to struggle getting my hair to grow longer!  But after doing a lot of research on what works and what doesn’t, I compiled a list of 7 things to promote hair growth naturally! Everything in my list is all natural and you can do AT HOME!  Nothing special needed outside of your grocery store shelves!  Yup, you read that correctly!  All the information I am providing does not require fancy or special products.

Results

Will it take a little longer to see results, of course!  But in the end having healthy hair is what is most important!  And sometimes we need to start with the INSIDE so that the OUTSIDE looks its best!  These tips and tricks can be used even if you already have healthy hair!  Our environment doesn’t assist in having great hair!  Pollution, oxidative stress, and more can take  its toll on our bodies and appearance.  So take a look and see what works for you and your busy schedule on how to get AMAZING HAIR!

7 Things You Can do Today to Help Promote Hair Growth, Naturally!

  • Folic acid and magnesium:

Increase your folic acid and magnesium intake!  Folic acid thickens and strengthens hair.  Magnesium stimulates hair growth.  It is always best to get these nutrients through food intake as the body doesn’t always absorb man made supplements.  Look into what foods you would enjoy to increase your intake of folic acid and magnesium!

  • Eat more protein:

Hair needs protein to get stronger.  Eating more meats, fish, eggs, nuts and bone broth will help strengthen your hair from the inside and out nad promote hair growth!

  • Avocado’s:

Avocado’s are a popular food that are packed with healthy fats.  That fat penetrates the hair follicles and gives it nutrition.  Avocado;s also have protein & amino acids that are building blocks for hair!  So go get some avocado’s and make guacamole or avocado toast!  Yummy!

  • Sweet Potatoes:

Sweet potatoes contain beta-carotene, which assists the processing of vitamin A in the body.  This includes the hair follicles!  So eat more sweet potatoes!  Here is a fabulous recipe for chipolte steak bites and sweet potato hash!

  • Sunflower Seeds:

Sunflower seeds are packed with Vitamin E & Zinc.  These vitamins help improve the condition of a person’s hair because they are a natural moisturizer & improves blood flow to the scalp!

  • Rice Water Rinse:

Soak organic rice in water for 24 hours.  Equal amounts of each.  (For instance, 1 cup of rice to 1 cup of water, 2 cups to 2 cups) Strain the rice after soaking.  Wash and condition hair as normal.  Pour rice water on hair and cover with a cap for 30-60 minutes.  Rinse and style as normal!!!  Your hair will be shinier and softer!

  • Hair product ingredients:

Last, but most important!  Never use hair products that contain sulfates.  Sulfates strip the hair of its natural protective properties.  Furthermore, upwards of 85% of hair products in salons and stores have ingredients that are damaging to hair.  Spend the extra money to get quality products and check your ingredients!  Because being more expensive, does not always mean it is better for you!

Home Remedies for Hair Growth and Thickness

Above all, I hope this list was beneficial and you learned some tricks to help improve your hair, naturally!  Hair loss and damaged hair can cause self-esteem issues.  I know it did for me!  You can read about my hair journey and hypothyroidism HERE!  I have been there and did a lot of “leg work” to find what would help make my hair stronger and more beautiful, naturally!  7 things to promote hair growth is something I hope helps in your journey to the most amazing hair of your life!

Most people are oblivious to the fact that shampoos that grow your hair faster and longer (of course with no sulfates, no parabens, no DEA) even exist. We all are now able to attain longer hair and achieve more alternatives. Definitely worth searching.

Whether you’re assessing hair loss, damaged hair, preventing skin disorders, hair growth, hair care generally, the same principles become relevant.

In most cases, you should try to steer clear of hair products and treatments that contain chemicals like parabens, DEA and sulfates.

What is good for your hair is healthy for your skin all the same.

It goes without saying your content here hits the nail in the head for many reasons. It stays away from the usual mistakes and traps most fall into- utilizing defective alternatives. Keep it up!
