How to Make a Bucket List for Your Life and not just a Bucket List for Fall!
Creating a bucket list is a fantastic way to set goals for yourself. Your list can have items as simple as saving $75 a week to traveling to your DREAM destination! Nothing is wrong, as long as it resonates with you.
How to Create a Bucket List
- Reflect on Your Passions:
- Think about what excites you or what you’ve always wanted to try. Whether it’s adventure, learning, or giving back, let your interests guide you.
- Mix Big and Small Goals:
- Include both grand ambitions and smaller, more attainable goals. The smaller ones can be stepping stones to the bigger dreams.
- Consider Experiences Over Material Things:
- Often, experiences create more lasting memories than material possessions. Think about what activities or experiences you want to have. This is something I have learned only wihtin the last several years. It is more important to ME to travel and have experiences than anything else.
- Set a Timeline:
- While some items might be long-term goals, others can be completed sooner. Setting a timeline can help you stay motivated.
- Involve Others:
- Some goals might be more enjoyable if shared with friends or family. Consider items that can involve loved ones or contribute to shared experiences.
- Keep It Flexible:
- Your interests and circumstances might change over time. It’s okay to adjust your list as you evolve and grow.
Ideas for a Bucket List!

- Witness the Aurora Borealis in a prime location like Norway or Iceland. For the first time ever, we were able to see the northern lights in my little town! It was beautiful!
- Take a Hot Air Balloon Ride:
- Enjoy a breathtaking view from above with a hot air balloon adventure.
- Learn to Play a Musical Instrument:
- Pick up an instrument and master it, whether it’s the piano, guitar, or violin.
- Attend a Major Festival:
- Whether it’s Carnival in Rio, Oktoberfest in Germany, or a music festival. Immerse yourself in a world-renowned celebration.
- Do a Digital Detox:
- Take a break from technology for a specified period to reconnect with yourself and your surroundings. This is truly a most for every bucket list!
- Take a Solo Trip:
- Travel alone to a destination you’ve always wanted to visit and discover the freedom of solo exploration.
- Participate in a Major Charity Event or Volunteer:
- Join a marathon, bike ride, volunteer for a cause you care about.

Excellent guide and info on our Fall Bucket List. These are fantastic ideas, and I love the fall festivals you mentioned. My mother-in-law and I went on a farm stroll through the countryside she grew up in. This annual trip is the highlight of her year.

Fall is my favorite season too, and your ideas are making me excited for all the cozy activities ahead. I remember taking my kids to a pumpkin patch and how much fun we had—though I totally agree, carving pumpkins can be a bit of a hassle!

My kids bring up how they never had the opportunity to carve pumpkins! They are always laughing when they say it but I do feel bad!
