Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola Bars
With February being Heart Health month I decided to do some “nutritious” snacks and treats! This is my first of four healthy recipes you can have for breakfast or a snack! Furthermore, I used my favorite protein powder in the recipe but you can certainly use whatever brand is your favorite protein powder! In short, I hope you enjoy these chocolate peanut butter granola bars as much as we did!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup Creamy or Chunky Peanut Butter *I used creamy
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1/4 cup Almond Milk
- 2 cups Whole Oats
- 2 tbsp Chia Seeds
- 1 packet Complete Chocolate Protein Powder *or 1/3 cup of another brand
- 1/2 cup Coconut Flakes, extra for garnish
- 1/3 cup Mini Chocolate Chips, extra for garnish
Instructions
- Line an 8x8" baking dish with parchment paper. Leave some hanging over the sides.
- Over a low heat place peanut butter, honey and milk in a small sauce pan. Stir until smooth and combined.
- In a seperate bowl combine Complete chocolate protein packet, whole oats, coconut flakes, chia seeds and choclate chips. Stir until thoroughly combined.
- Add the peanut butter mixture and stir until all ingredients are combined. Pour mixture into lined dish and press mixture so that it is compact. Garnish with extra chips and coconut by pressing into the top of the bars.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour and enjoy!!
- Cut into pieces and store in an airtight container in the refrigerate!
Furthermore, the Complete chocolate protein shakes I use are vegan, gluten free, non-GMO modified and delicious! Most importantly, the quality far surpasses that of any other brand on the market! Therefore, at only $2.40 per individual packet, they are fabulous!
Additionally, these glass mixing bowls are fabulous! And there are a set of six 1 cup prep bowls too! I use them with all my cooking preparation!
More importantly, thank you for spending your time here at Colorado Kelly! I love having you here and appreciate everyone that comes to visit and look forward to having you come back soon!
