Shepards Pie Recipe

Irish Shepherd’s Pie Recipe

Growing up I used to love to eat my mom’s fabulous Irish Shepherd’s Pie!  It is one of those meals that brings back warm memories of growing up and is a recipe classic!  I put a slight spin on my easy to make Shepherd’s Pie Recipe!  With Girl Bacon Jalapeno Bacon Jam added to the whipped potatoes and Legendary Spices Sir Gent Pepper, here is an old favorite with a new twist!  I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef, I use 93% fat free

6 Yukon Gold Potatoes, chopped and cooked

1 bag of frozen mixed vegetables

I 12 oz jar of Heinz beef gravy (yes, I use jarred gravy to make this fast & easy!)

1 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce

1 tsp Sir Gent Pepper

2 tbsp Girl Bacon Jalapeno Bacon Jam

1 8 oz tub of whipped cream cheese

2 tbsp butter

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Cook ground beef in large pan until it is crumbly and has no pink.  Drain off any fat and add the following: mixed vegetables, Sir Gent Pepper, Worcestershire Sauce, beef gravy.  Cook for about 5-6 minutes until every thing is thoroughly mixed and bubbly.

In a mixing bowl, add cooked potatoes, cream cheese, butter and Girl Bacon. Mix thoroughly until potatoes are smooth and spread easily.

In a square 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish, pour in beef mixture.  Then spread the whipped potatoes on top.  Bake for 30 minutes and enjoy!  You can also add shredded cheddar cheese to the top of the potatoes while it bakes!Irish Shepard's Pie

Girl Bacon is a fabulous product that uses all natural ingredients!  Unfortunately, it is no longer available.  However, you can use regular cooked bacon and chopped bacon.

Legendary Spices is a wonderful source for organic spice blends that will make your taste buds scream with joy!

More importantly, thank you for spending your time here at Colorado Kelly!  I love having you here and appreciate everyone that comes to visit and look forward to having you come back soon!
