IV Therapy, Does it Work?

My husband and I had the opportunity to receive IV Therapy a couple weeks ago. Fortunately, when we discovered IV Therapy it was when we were feeling under the weather.  Honestly, we ended up having C0vid.  With that said, we did come through it with no complications, and it lasted about a week.  During that time, we both had two IV therapy treatments.  Here is my review and thoughts on IV therapy and does it work.

*This is a sponsored post, however, all opinions and experiences are my own.

Mile High Mobile IV and IV Therapy Near Me

Peak Advanced Mobile IV is a company that offers in home IV Therapy in my area.  So when I started feeling rundown I got an appointment to have them give me an immunity boost IV called a Myer’s Cocktail.

Myers Cocktail

The following information on what and how this therapy can help, has been provided directly from Mile High Mobile IV.

The Myers’ Cocktail started as a type of IV nutrient therapy developed by Baltimore physician Dr. John Myers, who was using IV therapy to help patients with a range of symptoms. After Myers’ death, Dr. Alan Gaby took over his work, altering the ingredients in the cocktail and naming it after Myers. Since then, it’s been commonly used in several types of clinical facilities.

At Mile High Mobile IV, the Myers’ Cocktail is our best-selling IV therapy package. We’ve seen it work for countless patients, providing them with noticeable relief. Barring special circumstances, this is the IV treatment we recommend for Denver-area patients suffering from symptoms of:

  • Hangovers
  • Fatigue
  • Colds, the Flu and other illnesses
  • Altitude sickness
  • Dehydration
  • Nausea
  • Migraines

Depending on the specific symptoms you are experiencing, we may also recommend adding medications to our Myers’ Cocktail IV. For example, if you’re suffering from nausea due to a migraine, we may recommend adding the anti-nausea medication Zofran. No matter what has led you to seek out IV therapy, our paramedics and nurses will carefully consider your condition and medical history before recommending our Myers’ cocktail or any other IV drip. They use their extensive knowledge to find the right course of treatment for you.

IV Therapy does it work?

Ingredients in a Myers’ Cocktail

The Myers’ Cocktail contains six different vitamins and minerals essential for health and wellness. Each ingredient in this IV fluid addresses certain symptoms and needs. Together, they’re a powerful combination that banishes fatigue and replaces it with a burst of energy. Mile High Mobile IV uses medical-grade fluids and ingredients in all of our drip IVs, just like the Myers’ Cocktail IVs you’d receive at a hospital emergency room or urgent care clinic.

  • Saline: Each IV contains 1,000 ccs of normal saline, which is essentially sterile salt water. The saline delivers the rest of the nutrients to the body and replenishes fluids and electrolytes, which is ideal for addressing dehydration.
  • Vitamin B12: This vitamin can help maintain blood cell and nerve health. Vitamin B12 can also help reduce fatigue and relieve migraine symptoms.
  • Zinc: This vital mineral helps the body resist infection and repair damaged tissue.
  • Vitamin B complex: These vitamins, including vitamin B6, riboflavin and folic acid, play a crucial role in cell metabolism and energy production, making them valuable for addressing fatigue.
  • Glutathione: This antioxidant fights free radicals in the body. Free radicals can cause cellular damage if left unchecked. Glutathione may also strengthen the immune system.
  • Vitamin C: Most people know vitamin C for its important role in the immune system. What many don’t know is that it also relates to muscle, bone and blood vessel health. Whether you’re fighting a cold or recovering after an athletic event, vitamin C could aid in the healing process.
  • Magnesium: The heart and circulatory system get crucial support from this mineral. It’s also used to prevent migraine attacks and lessen migraine symptoms.

Conclusion

I cannot say for certain that the IV therapy my hubby and I received helped speed our recovery.  But what I can tell you, is that it definitely did not hinder it.  Our nurse, Tracy, was fabulous and explained everything she was doing from start to finish.  As many of you know who read my blog, we are very much interested in holistic recovery and building a strong immune system.

If your immune system is compromised, you don’t have a chance against the mildest of viruses.  Having a strong immune system is the foundation of staying healthy. So do your research and do what is best for you and your family!  And if you want a more natural way to deal with common ailments, be sure to check with your physician and see if IV therapy is right for you! But this was our experience and our opinion on IV therapy and does it work.  If  you  have or had  Covid and  lost your sense of smell, check  out my home remedies to assist in regaining  it!Next Sign

I love reading about natural ways to boost your immune system. The pandemic definitely made me more aware of what is good for my body and how I can strengthen my tolerance to viruses and germs. I will check about IV therapy with my doctor.
