Easy Family Style Meatloaf

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Ground Beef I use 93% fat free
  • 1/2 cup Quick Oats
  • 1 tbsp Thyme
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 cup Milk I used low fat
  • Salt/Pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Dark Brown Sugar

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees
  • Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Except the ketchup and brown sugar.
  • In a seperate bowl, mix the ketchup and brown sugar.
  • Place and form the meat into a "loaf".  Spread half the ketchup/brown sugar mixture over the top of the meatloaf.
  • Cook until there is no pink in the center.  Approximately 45 minutes.
  • Use extra sauce on slices for extra flavor and enjoy!

Side dishes!

Furthermore, I served my meatloaf recipe with fresh green beans sauteed in butter with onions and bacon bits.  And perogies!  A delicious easy meatloaf recipe for dinner!

This is a slightly different mixture than my meatload (which I always forget to add to the circulation), so I’ll have to try this one!
