Monat Skin Care

First, let me say I have been using Monat hair products for over two years.  With fabulous results!  So when the Monat skin care line came out, I was extremely excited!  If you have seen any of my previous Monat Product Review posts, I am very transparent and I do my best to provide you with an honest, unbiased opinion.  During this skincare review, I tested a total of 3 products, and I plan to follow up with the rest of the skincare line soon!

To kick this off, let’s look at the facts:

Is Monat Skin Care Vegan?

Yes! All of Monat’s products (including their hair care AND new natural skincare line) are 100% vegan. They do not contain any animal-based ingredients, including honey and beeswax. Instead, they use plant based ingredients to stay true to the meaning behind their name: Modern Nature.

Monat launched in 2014 with the mission of providing exceptional, naturally based, anti-aging and confidence-inspiring products.  The hair care line is gluten free, non-toxic and so much more! They are giving us that same promise in the Monat vegan skincare products too!

Monat Eye Smooth Cream Review

What the Monat’s Eye Smooth Cream product is supposed to target:

• Fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes
• Dark circles
• Puffiness, under eye bags, and “crow’s feet”
• Dryness

What I can tell you is that the Eye Smooth is the softest and creamiest eye cream I have ever used.  And I am a product snob.  I use expensive skin care products.  In Colorado, the sun can be harsh, and our dry climate doesn’t do my skin any favors!  So when Monat says it is an indulgent, cushiony cream, I absolutely agree!  It feels and looks like soft, whipped butter!  It really is a treat to use! Included with the Eye Smooth product is a rose gold eye roller that you can use at room temperature or put in the frig for a more cooling effect!  I have to say, I love it!

Even VOGUE has published a “puff piece” that promotes Monat’s Eye Smooth cream!!!

Monat Berry Refined Scrub Review

What the Berry Scrub targets:

• Dull skin
• Uneven skin tone and texture
• Large, prominent pores

First, the scent of the Berry Scrub is fabulous!  It has a slightly sweet berry scent that is amazing!  Second, this is a 2-in-1 product.  It is a facial scrub but can also be used as a mask that gently buffs away dull skin.  So in under 5 minutes you can refine and exfoliate!  This is a product you will absolutely love for naturally glowing skin!

And here is some additional information: exfoliation is essential for skin health!  It removes dead skin cells and does not need to be aggressive to be effective! If you’re looking for a natural exfoliant for your face, I HIGHLY recommend this!

Rewind Age Control Nectar Review

Rewind targets:

• Fines lines, wrinkles and texture
• Environmentally damaged skin
• Dryness, dullness and uneven skin tone
• Loss of elasticity

This product is described as a “supercharged” serum.  It “floods” the skin with a combination of ingredients to tackle uneven skin tone, loss of elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles.

You use it as an evening application.  After soaking into the skin it rejuvenates over night.  It has Rejuveniqe S (Monat’s crown jewel product!) natural fruit acids, peptides and Hyaluronic acid just to name a few of the ingredients! Rewind embodies Monat’s promise to deliver effective, naturally-based, anti-aging products.

The regular use of these ingredients will give you brighter and naturally glowing skin!

My Personal Experience with Monat Skin Care

What I can tell you is that the puffiness under my eyes has decreased with using the Eye Smooth.  Additionally, I have always used quality products and it has only been a week.  I am hoping that with regular use, I will continue to see positive changes!

What I can tell you is I LOVE the Berry Scrub!  My skin feels silky and soft after each use.  And I make sure I have time to leave it on for the mini “masque” treatment.  They suggest using it twice a week, and I love it!

As for the Rewind Serum, I do like it.  I haven’t seen a difference in my skin other than it seems to have more moisture retention.  But again, I use quality products that have kept my skin in relatively good condition!  So I am hopeful that with continued use, the “dewy” complexion of my youth will return!

Monat Skin Care Product Review Conclusion

With only seven days under my belt, I have to say, I am truly impressed with the Monat Vegan Skincare products.  From the beautiful packaging to the feel of the products, Monat truly upped their game.   There are also gentle cleansers, daily moisturizers and a skin toners to complete your regimen.  Unfortunately, I have some products I still need to use up, so I will rotate the other products in and give you reviews as time passes!  I will also give you a 28 day update!  If you are like me and need help relief with fine lines, crows feet and eye puffiness, take a look at my review of the 30 Second Miracle!  It has been a good send for the puffy bags under my eyes!!!

30 Day Update!

It has been over 30 days that I have been using the Monat Skincare.  And I love it!  The berry scrub is FABULOUS!  Still my favorite product!  The eye cream is doing a great job of maintaining what my previous products (which were much more expensive) were doing.  Same goes for the Rewind Serum.  But better than anything, they are vegan, cruelty free and I know I am not jeopardizing my health because the ingredients are all natural!

60 Day Update!

I have to say, now that I have been using the products for just over 60 days, I am definitely seeing some interesting results!  I have an “11” in between my eyes I used to have corrected with Botox.  After several years of injections I decided to stop doing Botox as I wasn’t sure how it would eventually affect my health.  So a year and a half ago I stop getting injections and lived with my “11”.  But I have been massaging the Rewind Nectar into that area specifically and I noticed that the creases are going away!!  I am so excited!!  This alone will is enough for me to scream from the rooftops!!

And the eye smooth is tightening up my “hooded” eyelid.  Granted, not so much that I look 25 again, but more than any other product has that I have tried! And I have spent upwards of $400 on eye creams!  So this is a fabulous deal!

6 Month Update

It is currently April 15th, 2020.  I decided I would give you an update on my use of the Monat skin care products!  Yes, I am still using them and I love them even more now than I did before.  At 52, I was a sun worshiper in my younger years and my skin was not in great condition when I started this journey.  However, I can’t say enough about how this product has improved my skins texture and the appearance of fine lines.  And I truly regret not documenting the results!  But as with all things, consistency is the key!
