Mother’s Day Craft Ideas

I know I always loved a hand made gift from my kids the best.   There are plenty of easy crafts that kids can do, with a little help from Dad, that will wow mom!  Here are my top 10 Mother’s Day Craft Kit Ideas for kids!

  • Paint by Number Picture
  • Ceramic Painting Kit
  • Create an outside planter with flowers
  • Mosaic Craft Kit
  • A Fairy Garden
  • Sun Catcher Kit
  • Painted Rocks, you don’t need a kit for this!
  • Boho or Friendship Bracelet
  • Make a Bird House
  • A DIY Key Chain Kit

There are so many things to try!  You can also make candles, soaps and more. But those things may need a little more help from Dad, depending on the child’s age.

Last Minute Mother’s Day Ideas

Running late on what to get Mom for Mother’s Day?  Here are some sure to please last minute gift ideas!

  • Flowers
  • A box of her favorite chocolates
  • Gift Card, to anywhere she likes to eat or go to relax!
  • Buy or make lunch and take her to a park for a picnic!
  • Create a packet of coupons.  Write down several things YOU will do for her either on Mother’s Day or at a future time.  Fold laundry, clean the house, mow the lawn, etc….she can use her coupons at anytime!

One Last Suggestion for Mother’s Day!

Do you know what a Felt Letter Board is?  They are easily accessible from any craft store, Target or Walmart and usually inexpensive.  If you have one or want to get one to express how much you care for your Momma it is super easy!  Pick a quote and put it on the board for your Mom to cherish!  You can change it when the mood fits or leave it, but this is a wonderful and inexpensive way to show mom how much you care.  Below are my five favorite quotes about mom!

  • Home is where your mom is
  • If I know what love is, it’s because of my mother
  • All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my mother
  • To the world you are a Mother, but to your family you are the World
  • You have my whole heart for my whole life

Some of these quotes are from famous personalities and some have unknown authors.  But they are all wonderful!

Conclusion

Next Sign

If nothing else, the best thing you can give your Mom, is your time.  Now that my husband and I are empty nesters, I would do anything to spend more time with my babies.  And with the pandemic I have not seen my Momma in well over a year.  Time goes too fast and life is too short.  So spend time with your Momma this Mother’s Day, I know she will love it!

I haven’t seen my mom for a year and a half due to the pandemic. I love all these ideas! I agree that time is the best gift (quality time is my love language). I’ll have to send her something extra special this year and settle for a Facetime date in the meantime!

Actually, just let a Mom rest for the whole day. It’s already a great gift. Do all the chores and let her have her ME time for the entire day.
