Pineapple Salsa Recipe
Have you ever had pineapple habanero salsa from Wholefoods? It is divine! And with a touch of lime tortilla chips!?! It is like I have died and gone to food heaven! That is how good it is! So why not make is fresh at home? This recipe is a good replication of Wholefoods pineapple salsa. And it can be used for more than just chips too! We served this with barbecue pulled pork sandwich and placed some on top of our pork! It was delicious and the melding of flavors was truly out of this world! So whether you like your salsa with just chips or as a condiment, this is a great copy cat recipe for you to try! I hope you enjoy!
Pineapple Habanaro Salsa
Ingredients
- 1 Fresh Pineapple, cut up into bite size pieces *my pineapple made about 2.75 cups
- 1/3 cup Red Onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup Habanero Peppers, chopped *use a red bell pepper if you don't want any heat **use less peppers if you want some heat
- 1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped *when choosing fresh cilantro, make sure it is fragrant! Then you know it is fresh!
- 1 Jalapeno Pepper, seeded and chopped *leave seeds for more "heat"
- 1 Lime, juice only *or 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 bag Your favorite tortilla chips!
Instructions
- Add all ingredients together and mix well! Refrigerate for an hour before serving to let the flavors meld together! Or serve right away, the choice is yours!
