Why are Omega Fatty Acids Important?

You may be asking, Why are Omega Fatty Acids Important? I am here to help answer that question!  We do not produce fatty acids naturally.  So we need to get them from our food source.  There is a large and growing array of health benefits that is supported by scientific research. Here are some of the things that omegas can help reduce the risk of:

  • Rheumatoid Arthritis
  • Depression
  • It can lower elevated triglyceride levels & reduce the risk of heart disease
  • Asthma
  • ADHD
  • Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia

Why are Omega Fatty Acids Important?

What type of omega supplement is best?

With all the supplements on the market, you may be wondering, which one is best for you.  I have tried several brands, however, the fish based Omegas have never done well for me.  I always had an after taste when taking them.  Fatty fish also have a risk of higher levels of mercury, PCBs and other toxins.  Farm raised fish of any type have a higher risk for contaminants too. So unless you are getting a high quality fish Omega, you run the risk of other problems.  So I would stick with a plant based Omega.  And a blend of Omega’s is much better than just one.  So if you have the option of taking an Omega supplement that has a variety of Omega’s versus just one, I would suggest going with a blend.

I have found an excellent Omega blend that is naturally balanced with a blend of plant-based oils containing Omega 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9 fatty acids in a capsule. When looking for a supplement I looked for one that contains 100% non-GMO ingredients, is gluten free and contains nothing artificial.  Being a vegan product was just a bonus! This is what is in the product I take:

  • Algae
  • Pomegranate Seeds
  • Sea Buckthorn Berries
  • Raspberry Seeds
  • Safflower Seeds

Conclusion

Juice Plus+ Omega Blend is what I consider the best product on the marker for the price.  It has 5 different fatty acids and is 100% plant based.  It is a vegan and kosher product too. So why not give it a try?  At $33.25 a month plus sales tax, this is a fabulous, high quality product that will help bridge the gap to better health!
