Slow Cooker Apple Crisp

This is a great recipe for the cooler fall days!  Football, family and apple pies!  Only much easier!
Prep Time 15 minutes
Servings 6 people

Ingredients

  • 8 Medium Apples I used Mcintosh Apples
  • 1/2 cup Orange Juice
  • 1 cup Cranberries I used fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2/3 cup Quick Cooking Oats
  • 2/3 cup Almond Flour you can use any type of flour
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup Softened Butter (do not melt)

Instructions

  • Butter inside of the slow cooker so the apples don't stick to the bottom and sides, or use a slow cooker bag.
  • I core and slice my apples, I do not peel them.  There are valuable nutrients in the apple skin! Put the apples in a bowl with the orange juice, sugar and cranberries.  Mix well and place in the buttered slow cooker.
  • In a seperate bowl add the remaining ingredients.  You can use a pastry cutter or your hands to mix all the ingredients until they become small "crumbles".  Place evenly over the apple mixture.
  • Cook on high for 3-3.5 hours and enjoy! Serve with vanilla ice cream or whip cream!
