Prep Time 15 minutesminutes
Servings 6people
Ingredients
8Medium ApplesI used Mcintosh Apples
1/2cupOrange Juice
1cupCranberries I used fresh cranberries
1 cupSugar
2/3cupQuick Cooking Oats
2/3cupAlmond Flouryou can use any type of flour
1/2cupBrown Sugar
1tspCinnamon
1tspNutmeg
1/4 cupSoftened Butter(do not melt)
Instructions
Butter inside of the slow cooker so the apples don't stick to the bottom and sides, or use a slow cooker bag.
I core and slice my apples, I do not peel them. There are valuable nutrients in the apple skin! Put the apples in a bowl with the orange juice, sugar and cranberries. Mix well and place in the buttered slow cooker.
In a seperate bowl add the remaining ingredients. You can use a pastry cutter or your hands to mix all the ingredients until they become small "crumbles". Place evenly over the apple mixture.
Cook on high for 3-3.5 hours and enjoy! Serve with vanilla ice cream or whip cream!
