Apple Cider Mule Recipe
The air has turned crisp, the leaves are changing colors and everything pumpkin spice is popular! It is truly my favorite time of year. With that comes delicious apples and fresh cranberries. Last fall my husband and I discovered a new twist on the Moscow Mule! Unfortunately the restaurant we visited had to shut its door due to Covid, but I liked it so much I decided to try to mimic it in this recipe! So here is my version of an Apple Cider Moscow Mule Recipe!
Vodka Choices
There a million choices of vodkas to choose from at even the smallest liquor store. I decided to go with Absolute Vodka as that is the “smoothest” of vodkas in my opinion. And I didn’t want to go with a flavored vodka as I decided to infuse the fruit with cinnamon and vodka. Yummy!
Apple Cinnamon Moscow Mule Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Orange Juice, no pulp
- 2 oz Vodka
- 3 oz Ginger Beer
- 2 oz Apple Cider
- 2 tbsp Cinnamon *extra to sprinkler on top of drink
- 1 Apple, cored and diced *I used honey crisp
- 1 Navel Orange, sliced for garnish
- 1/4 cup Frozen or Fresh Cranberries
- Ice
Instructions
- Core and dice apple and place in a small bowl with cranberries. Take 2 tbsp of cinnamon and mix with fruit to cover. Pour enough vodka over the fruit to just cover. Cover and place in refrigerator for at least one hour or overnight.
- Once your fruit has chilled, pour ginger beer, vodka, apple cider and orange juice into a mug, over ice. I used chilled cooper mugs. Mix with a spoon and add more ice. Take one-two spoonful's of fruit and place on top. Then sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Garnish with a slice of orange then serve!
Conclusion
