Slow Cooker Beef Bourguignon
While in Paris, my daughter and I had some amazing food! So in honor of that wonderful experience, I decided to make a slow cooker meal with a French flair! Let’s get started on this cold weather, easy dinner recipe of Slow Cooker Beef Bourguignon!
Bourguignon
First of all, bourguignon is French for a dish braised in red wine. Or a reduced red wine sauce or burgundy sauce. Obviously, I found a couple different definitions for bourguignon! As a result, this was an amazing dish and I think I liked it better than a normal beef stew. I know my family did! With the red wine vinegar base, it gave this dish a rich and amazing flavor.
I also used a Veal Demi-Glace from Williams-Sonoma. This is an optional ingredient. However, it is a classic French style reduction of savory veal stock, vegetables and seasonings! It is a sensational addition for any beef dish!
Slow Cooker Perfection!
Slow Cooker Beef Bourguignon has tender meat that melts in your mouth and hearty veggies! Cooked slowly to the peak of tenderness in a deliciously rich sauce! Perfect for a cold winter night!

What a delicious looking meal! Quick question for you – do you think stew meat chunks would work in place of the chuck? Both benefit from long, slow cooking, so I’m thinking it might. Thanks!
Kelly
I think either meat type would be fine! The slow cooker makes just about any meat super tender!
