Tortellini Bake
I may not be Italian, but I love Italian cuisine! And this Tortellini Bake is fabulous! While cruising Pinterest, I found a recipe by Instru Pix that was intriguing! So as always, I decided to put my own twist on the recipe! And I have to say, it was amazing!
Family Meal
This easy dinner recipe makes about 6 servings. I served it with a fresh garden salad. You can also serve with fresh baked garlic bread and wine. Either way, it makes for a delicious and hardy meal!
Tortellini Bake
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Italian Sausage *I used mild but you can use spicy if you want a little more "kick"!
- 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 32 oz Jar of your favorite Marinara Sauce *or make your own from scratch!
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, sliced or cubed
- 24 oz Tortellini
- 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 cup Shredded Mozzarella
- 1/4 cup Shredded Parmesan
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 9 x 13 inch backing dish and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the Italian sausage. Add minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Cook until there is no longer any pick in the meat.
- Once cooked, remove any excess fat from the sausage. Then add marinara sauce and cream cheese. Mix until blended well and cream cheese is completely melted.
- Cook tortellini according to the package.
- When tortellini is finished cooking, drain and gently add to the meat and marinara mixture.
- Carefully combine the until well blended. Pour into lightly greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle with shredded and mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Place in pre-heated oven for 25 minutes.
- Then enjoy with a salad, garlic bread or both!
Conclusion
With all the craziness in our world right now and “shelter in place” orders, I hope you find this meal not only easy but heartwarming. My goal is always to provide easy dinner recipes that the entire family will enjoy. And this Tortellini Bake fits that narrative! I wish you and your family much love during this time!
Stoneware is some of my favorite baking tools! And this 9 x 13 inch baking pan is no exception!
