1Frozen, pre-made or make your own single-crust (9 inch)
1lbItalian Sausage ( I use sweet Italian sausage)
1/2cupChopped Onion
1/4cupChopped Green Pepper
1cupShredded Cheddar CheeseI sprinkle extra on top
3Eggs
1cupHeavy Whipping Creamyou can use 2% milk in place of heavy cream to save calories!
1tbspFresh Chopped Parsley
1tbspFresh Chopped Basil
Salt/Black Pepper to Taste
1tbspMinced Garlic
1tbspCayenne Pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees . Either bake the frozen pie crusts as instructed or make your own! Either way, have a baked single pie crust ready to be filled!
In a large skillet, cook the sausage, onion and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, then drain. Spoon into shell and sprinkle with cheese.
Whisk the remaining ingredients in a large bowl and pour over cheese and sausage.
Bake at 375 degree for 35-40 minutes or until knife inserted near the center come out clean. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting and enjoy!
