Ingredients
46 ozSalmon Filets
1/4 cupPacked Brown Sugar
1/4 cupMaple Syrup*I used pure, organic syrup
3tbspBourbon
1tbspHoney*optional, I added this to the recipe
2tbspOlive Oil
1/4cupChopped Walnuts*I used pecans instead
1/2cupGreen Onions, chopped*I had extra for garnish
6piecesThick Cut Cooked Bacon, chopped*the recipe only required 4, but the more bacon the better in my opinion!
Instructions
Place salmon in a baking dish while preparing the sauce.
Combine the first four ingredients and pour over the salmon. Cover and let sit for 15 minutes.
In a large skillet heat oil over medium heat. Add the salmon filets and any sauce in the dish to the skillet. Cook until the fish just begins to flake easily with a fork. 4-6 minutes per side depending on how thick your filets are. Mine were thick so I took the full 6 minutes.
Remove salmon from skillet and keep warm in baking dish. Add nuts, green onions and bacon to skillet. Heat through and pour over salmon. Garnish with extra green onions.
