This is an easy and delicious dessert that can be served all year long! I used the fruit that was available and in season when I decided to make mine! Serve with ice cream of fresh whipped cream, either way, this is a light and delicious recipe!

Ingredients
2largePeaches, peeled and chopped*you can substitute strawberries or apricots
1cupBlueberries*you can also use raspberries but they get a little mushy if cooked to long
2tbspWater
3tbspSugar
2tbspBourbon*I used Jack Daniels
2tbspUnsalted Butter, Melted
8piecesAngel Food Cake*the Angel Food cake pieces I had were small, so I did 2 per serving. You can do 1 slice.
8ozVanilla Bean Ice Cream
Instructions
Heat electric grill to medium-high.
In a large sauce pan, combine sugar, bourbon and water. Cook on stove top, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved. Add blueberries and peaches. Stir and cook until fruit is warmed through. Approximately 2-3 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes.
Use a pastry brush to lightly butter both sides of the angel food cake. Grill each slice for about 30 seconds to one minute on each side. *The original recipe called for 10 seconds each side but I did not feel that was long enough. So watch your cake slices and grill them to your liking!
Serve topped with fruit mixture and ice cream then enjoy!!!
