Ingredients
1lbRigatoni Paste*cook according to the package
2tbspOlive Oil
1smallShallot, chopped
2tbspMinced Garlic
1lbMild Italian Sausage*ground, no casings
110 oz bagFrozen Peas
1 1/2cupWhipping Cream
5tbspButter
1/2cupGrated Parmesan Cheese
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes for garnish
Instructions
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and chopped shallot. Saute for about 1 minute and add ground sausage. Cook until browned, stirring and breaking up into small pieces. About 5-7 minutes. Add thawed peas, stirring occasionally and cook for about 5 minutes until heated through.
Increase heat to medium high and slowly add whipping cream, butter and grated parmesan cheese. Bring to a slight boil, stirring constantly. Reduce to medium and cook for 5 minutes. Combine with cooked pasta, sprinkle with extra grated cheese and chili flakes. Then enjoy!
