Pasta with Peas and Sausage

This is an extremely easy recipe. It will satisfy your hunger and a picky eater!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Rigatoni Paste *cook according to the package
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 small Shallot, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 lb Mild Italian Sausage *ground, no casings
  • 1 10 oz bag Frozen Peas
  • 1 1/2 cup Whipping Cream
  • 5 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Crushed Red Pepper Flakes for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and chopped shallot. Saute for about 1 minute and add ground sausage. Cook until browned, stirring and breaking up into small pieces. About 5-7 minutes. Add thawed peas, stirring occasionally and cook for about 5 minutes until heated through.
  • Increase heat to medium high and slowly add whipping cream, butter and grated parmesan cheese. Bring to a slight boil, stirring constantly. Reduce to medium and cook for 5 minutes. Combine with cooked pasta, sprinkle with extra grated cheese and chili flakes. Then enjoy!
